EN 60335-2-9 A12:2007 comes into force on 1st October 2008. This amendment has included the new requirement of the temperature rise measurement on hot functional surfaces of products (e.g. pop-corn maker, raclette grill, ovens, rotary grill, cookers, bread maker, waffle maker, sandwich maker, etc). It will bring a new challenge to most of the appliance manufacturers about the product constructions.
